![]() I'd only consider buying a 4GB (or bigger) model since the 2GB ones may run into future map update issues that could be undesirable. Most folks that post here feel that at an Amazon price of $42 per update, this is the last option they'd consider. Having said all of the above, would I be better just buying a newer GPS with free map updates? I only drive about 8,000 miles a year, but I do take long trips several times a year. Is it about time to update them or should I wait a little longer? If now, where is the most economical place to get a map update? ![]() The maps on my Garmin 255W are about a year and a half old.
